DÉJÀ VU
The group was formed on July 2006 after the break-up of three local bands: Ethan , Emerald and Josef Ventura were previous members of 6 Days to Friday; Ro and original bass player Rey were from Soundcheck; and Jeff Coronado (vocals) was from Kuua. Seemingly, the coincidental break-ups were a driving force in the creation of DÉJÀ VU, and the members, being long-time friends and “jamming buddies”, decided it was destiny at work. Later on, Rey was replaced by seasoned bass player Egai. The band aims to give acoustic music a fresh yet a more robust sound with jazzed-up arrangements of classic and pop-jazz favorites that go from soothing to playful. Whatever the song is, DÉJÀ VU delivers with jazz and class. DÉJÀ VU is composed of Ethan Andrew Ventura on guitars and musical direction; Egai Buñing on bass guitar; Josef Ventura on drums; and vocalists Jefferson Coronado, Rowena Quintos, and Emerald Ventura. Presently, the band plays regularly at Forest House Bistro on Thursdays. DÉJÀ VU is also available for gigs, weddings and receptions.
